job summary

The Director, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for identifying, developing and nurturing collaborative partnerships in support of OneSight’s programming, fundraising and communications objectives. The Director will drive partnerships as a central part of the key organizational priorities engaging communities, NGOs, institutions, corporations and others to join OneSight in closing the vision care gap.

principle job responsibilities

  • Develop a 3 year strategic roadmap for partnerships, which includes a strong understanding of OneSight’s partnership needs and opportunities
  • Implement a partnership framework and process across the OneSight global organization
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with organizations that can further our programming, engagement and fundraising needs. Work closely with OneSight leaders in each area to implement and maintain these partnerships. This can include:
    • Generating leads and opening conversations with key organizations
    • Representing OneSight in meetings and events
    • Creating proposals and presentations to enable partnership opportunities
    • Nurturing opportunities to finalization of partnership agreement
    • Identifying best practices and incorporating new ideas for partnership building
  • Develop, enhance and maintain effective strategic partnerships and new alliances that improve awareness and engagement with vision care as an important cause and confidence of OneSight as a global leader.
  • Strengthen existing partnerships through deeper engagement ensuring that the relationship is beneficial for all parties. Collaborate with Marketing and Engagement team to guide development of compelling and motivating content to engage supporters.
  • Develop corporate partnership engagement strategies that position a partnership with OneSight as a benefit to corporation’s key business drivers and goals. Frame partnerships in a way that solves existing problems for the corporation and engages key leaders in the organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Diplomacy or related field

qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Diplomacy or related field
  • 6+ years of experience managing strategic relationships to drive organizational strategies and new innovative ideas that are implemented with partners
  • An eager problem solver and a demonstrated leader, skilled at connecting with cross functional global team members and gaining their trust
  • Ability to quickly assess opportunities with organizations and develop compelling mutually beneficial proposals.
  • Strong presentation, writing and negotiation skills, including the ability to elaborate partnership projects and grant proposals
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Should be able to organize and prioritize own work with limited supervision
  • Sense of initiative, discretion, mature judgment, and entrepreneurial spirit is required. Capacity to effectively interact with a multiplicity of stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Innovation and strategic thinking are highly valued. Strategy consulting background or experience in an innovative environment are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that enable you to evangelize, articulate, and pitch OneSight programs and engagement opportunities to a variety of stakeholders at all levels including C-Suite leaders.
