The OneSight Regional Lead Accounting and Finance – South Africa is responsible for the daily financial operations of the charity including cash management, payroll, invoice payment, monthly close and reporting, forecasting, and balance sheet account reconciliations.  Additionally, this person will provide other administrative functions such as governance / compliance, clinic scheduling, and human resources.

Principal Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational teams to ensure plans and forecasts are accurate and variances are clear
  • Perform monthly accounting close, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provides monthly financial reporting to Country Manager, Regional Director, and OneSight USA
  • Identifies trends, opportunities or threats based off financial results and provides recommendations to management accordingly
  • Responsible for payroll processing for the OneSight South Africa team, including any applicable withholdings, filings and reporting
  • Maintains books and records in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-Sized Entities
  • Coordinates the annual audit with external auditors
  • Evaluate balance in bank accounts to ensure sufficient funds to cover cash needs
  • Ensure invoices have been approved in accordance with limits of authority and are paid timely
  • Responsible for compliance with annual returns and filings of the charity to ensure the charity remains in good standing
  • Maintain and update OneSight policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls are in place
  • Supports Human Resource, Risk Management or other administrative activities driven by OneSight USA
  • Coordinates scheduling of OneSight clinics and participates in OneSight programming, as requested
  • Represents OneSight in a professional manner

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • CAP Preferred
  • 5+ of relevant experience
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Quick-Books, Quicken, Outlook and/or other similar financial software experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunities
  • Demonstrates the ability and desire to successfully accomplish personal and business goals
  • Makes sound business decisions and acts with integrity
