job summary

The Director, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for identifying, developing and nurturing collaborative partnerships in support of OneSight’s programming, fundraising and communications objectives. The Director will drive partnerships as a central part of the key organizational priorities engaging communities, NGOs, institutions, corporations and others to join OneSight in closing the vision care gap.

principle job responsibilities

  • Maintain books and records in accordance with US GAAP
  • Perform monthly accounting close for various areas of the organization, including donations, payroll, bonus and benefit accounts
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record monthly donations in donor database
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for the organization
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure forecasts are accurate and variances from forecast are clearly explained
  • Partner with Human Resources on financial aspects of bonus calculations, benefit analysis and ad-hoc reporting needs
  • Ensure invoices have been approved in accordance with limits of authority and are paid timely
  • Maintain and update OneSight policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls are in place
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Assist with other ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects, as requested

educational requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Certifications / Licenses

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred

qualifications and experience

  • 3+ of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Paycor, FundEZ, SalesForce and Essbase skills a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunities
  • Demonstrates the ability and desire to successfully accomplish personal and business goals
