Fundraising Event Questions

Once I submit my event application, how long will it take to receive approval?

You will be contacted by a OneSight representative within 5 business days after completing your event registration form.

Can I use OneSight’s name and logo to promote my event?

You are welcome to use OneSight’s logo in your event materials. Please view our logo and brand guidelines for information on proper use and approval.

Can OneSight help promote my event?

Once your event is approved, your event will be included on OneSight’s events calendar. We are not able to promote events to our database, and cannot provide donor lists.

Can funds raised be used to cover event expenses?

We recognize that event organizers may need to hold some funds to help cover expenses and recommend that you pay all expenses and send one net check to OneSight following the event. OneSight is not able to pay or reimburse expenses for any community events.

Can someone from OneSight attend or speak at my event?

While we would love to be at every event, we cannot guarantee that a OneSight representative will be able to attend. Please visit our support center for ideas on ways to share the OneSight story at your event.

Will donors receive a tax receipt from OneSight?

Donors who make a payment directly to OneSight by check or credit card will receive a tax receipt. We cannot legally provide tax receipts for payments not made directly to OneSight.

Can OneSight provide volunteers for my event?

OneSight is happy to list your event on our Volunteer Opportunities page. We recommend reaching out to your networks for volunteer support, but may be able to provide a few extra volunteers.

What are the vision screening requirements for my area?

Please check www.preventblindness.org, local school nurses, Department of Health, Department of Education websites, etc.

Can I use OneSight’s name and logo to promote my event?

Can OneSight help promote my volunteer event?

Once your event is approved, your event will be included on OneSight’s calendar event. We can also post once per event on social media.

Can I raise funds in addition to providing vision screening?

Yes! When you create your vision screening event there will be an option to create a fundraising page to go with your event. Thank you in advance for the support!

How do I find a location to host a vision screening?

Connect with the school or organization you are partnering with to see if they have a location you can utilize for your event. Often times there are community centers or schools that have rooms, gymnasiums or other common spaces that can be used for little to no fees.
