Now you can help kids
in your community see clearly
For the past 15 years, OneSight has partnered with the Fresh Air Fund to give inner city kids the chance to experience the outdoors in Fishkill, NY—and see it more clearly while they’re at it.
Twice every summer, we screen around 3,000 kids for vision correction needs—and each student that needs a pair of glasses gets a pair that is made and fitted especially for them right there on-site.

DANIEL’S STORY
It was the summer of 2004. I was 11 about to turn 12 when I got my first pair of glasses. I loved reading as a kid but I would get these debilitating migraines after an hour of reading. It was constant like 2-3 times a week.
That Summer my mom wanted to send me to camp but didn’t have much money. Then she found out about the Fresh Air Fund. I went, and that’s where I was given corrective glasses after an eye exam by OneSight. It turns out I had latent hyperopia which often goes undiagnosed due to the eyes ability to adjust so much when kids are younger than 10.
After that I would read books like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ and had no problems with migraines! I couldn’t imagine having to go through Junior HS and HS reading all of those text books without glasses. It would’ve been torture and I would’ve given up.
And thanks to everything, today I am an Optician.
I can take care of my family and also volunteer at OneSight clinics to help others see. That very well may all be due to getting much needed glasses when I was younger thanks to OneSight. It’s so funny how life works isn’t it?
GIVE CLEAR SIGHT TODAY
Catching eye problems for school aged children and teenagers is critical—kids who can see the board and their textbooks clearly do up to twice as well and are set up for a lifetime of learning.
Your support means more kids with more of a chance to get ahead.
About OneSight
OneSight is the leading global nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing access to an eye exam and glasses to the 1.1 billion people who have no way to get them. We have a proven model that provides permanent access to vision care and glasses in the US and around the world and we are pioneering new ways to deliver quality vision care to the most remote communities in need. We believe one’s location and circumstances should not stand in the way of one’s potential. Our goal is to create a world where lack of access to vision care is no longer a barrier to human achievement, and every donation gets us one step closer to making that world a reality.
