It’s time to HELP
CHICAGO STUDENTS SEE.
From June 18th-19th, we’re giving 200+ students in Chicago the glasses they need. Join us in helping more students in your backyard and around the world.
90,328
That’s approximately how many school-aged kids in Chicago could benefit from a pair of glasses. The trouble is, nobody knows who they are because 1 in 4 students in the US has an undiagnosed vision problem. Our mission is to change that with the help of people just like you.
Why does it matter? Here’s a few reasons:
2x learning
For kids who can’t see well, it’s like missing half a school year. Glasses put them back on track.
FEWER DROPOUTS
Getting glasses reduces the chance that kids with vision problems will drop out. By as much as 44%!
MORE CONFIDENCE
Kids who can’t see are often shy and withdrawn. Glasses help them come out of their shell.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Since there are so many children who haven’t had an eye exam, we bring the eye exam (and glasses) to them! We conduct a full vision screening and eye exam for each student, and then make a pair of glasses to their exact prescription onsite. And of course, we are following safety guidelines for COVID-19 to protect both our student patients as well as our volunteers and staff.

JOIN US
We’re helping Chicago students now, but every year we help thousands of kids and adults all over the world get their vision back with the help of an eye exam and a pair of glasses. See stories of success, stay up-do-date on where we’re headed next, and become part of the OneSight family.
