68. 5 Million
PEOPLE WORLDWIDE live in an uncertain world, forced to flee from their homes.
THEIR LIVES ARE ON HOLD. THEIR POTENTIAL DOESN’T HAVE TO BE.
Imagine trying to navigate a foreign country with blurry vision. Help put their world in focus.

Our world is bearing witness to
the highest displacement Levels ON RECORD.
While many refugees receive humanitarian assistance, vision care is often not among the services they receive. We are working to change that. A pair of glasses unlocks potential. And whether these people return to their countries of origin or are integrated into new communities, we want them to be ready to see their new homes, their classrooms, their jobs—clearly.

WE STAND WITH REFUGEES.
As part of our ongoing goal to #HelpTheWorldSee, we’ve expanded our reach to serve displaced populations in Tanzania, Colombia, Thailand and Jordan. These people have faced countless daily challenges and originated from nations such as The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Venezuela, Myanmar and Syria.

IN TANZANIA PEOPLE ARE SEEKING REFUGE FROM CONFLICT IN THE
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO (DCR) AND BURUNDI.
THE COUNTRY HOSTS OVER 300,000 REFUGEES.

ALONG THE THAILAND-MYANMAR BORDER THERE ARE between 2 to 3 million DISPLACED PEOPLE.

IN COLOMBIA, there are currently over 1.1 million
Venezuelan refugees, and that number is expected to grow.

SINCE THE START OF THE SYRIAN CIVIL WAR, MORE THAN HALF OF THE COUNTRY’S POPULATION HAS BEEN DISPLACED. MANY OF THESE PEOPLE ARE SEEKING REFUGE IN JORDAN.
When working with agencies, governments and refugee populations themselves, trust is paramount. And that takes time. We look for opportunities to find the right partners and build a relationship over time with them and the people they serve. Once their primary needs have been met, OneSight can step in to help.
Stay up to date on our work with refugees.
