These two visited our 2019 Colombia clinic in desperate need of help. They fled from Venezuela due to violence, hyperinflation, and starvation. María has not seen an eye doctor in over 6 years and suffers from glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Maria’s love of cooking and her difficulty seeing the ingredients in front of her is what drove her son, Sebastian, to bring her to our clinic. We were able to provide her with an eye exam and pair of prescription glasses so that she can see her tasty cooking clearly.
