These gentlemen are community leaders for a very remote community of 6,000 displaced people along the Thai-Myanmar border. 4 months ago, OneSight trained a small group of people on how to pre-screen. Then, they went door-to-door and evaluated each person’s need for vision care. Almost 1,000 patients were recommended for vision care and then seen by 13 volunteers and 17 interpreters. Almost 80% were prescribed glasses and many of the others received eye care, including medicine or referrals.
