“My husband recently had a stroke. So, now I am both mother and father to my two boys. I have terrible vision and I’ve needed glasses since I was a child. As a nurse, I need my glasses to do injections and even just to see the faces of my patients. I’ve only ever had two pairs of glasses in my life. Today, I got my third. My last pair of glasses were donated to me a long time ago as I can’t afford to buy them. I work hard and love my job, but with making around 200 baht a month ($6 USD) there is no way to afford them. A new pair of glasses might cost 6000 baht. I am so very happy that you’ve given me another pair of glasses. These will help me and my family to survive. I’m just so happy.”
